KUWAIT, May 23 (KUNA) -- Chairman of the Board and Director General of KUNA Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah commended a journalism contest for allowing young Kuwaiti journalists the chance to hone their skills.
In a meeting on Tuesday with Chairman of KUNA's Labor Union and head of the Sheikh Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah Contest for Journalistic Excellence's Higher Committee Ayman Al-Ali, along with the winners of the contest, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij noted that KUNA was a venerable institution home to talented individuals.
Moreover, the KUNA Chairman pointed out that the contest, christened after one of the country's most iconic figures, would be instrumental in propelling Kuwait's media sector to new heights.
Meanwhile, Al-Ali thanked Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij for the support, noting that the contest was held in collaboration with global media giant Thomson Foundation.
KUNA's Deputy Director General for the Editorial Sector and Editor-in-Chief Saad Al-Ali applauded the organizers of the contest, congratulating the winners on their journalistic prowess. (end) fa.nam
