Kuwait Red Crescent calls for supporting Syrian female refugees

KUWAIT, May 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) vice-chairman Anwar Al-Hasawi called on philanthropists Monday to support Syrian female refugees.
Donation for Syrian female refugees is a transformation in KRCS's humanitarian efforts by directing its operations for this segment of refugees, Al-Hasawi said in a press statement following the opening of a charity fair over economic empowerment for Syrian female refugees.
He said KRCS has been carrying out huge operations to alleviate suffering of Syrian refugees, specially women.
Lama Al-Othman, KRCS's resources development department head, said the revenues of the fair would be directed to the Syrian female refugees in Lebanon and Jordan.
She said the financial support would allow the Syrian female refugees to set up their own projects to improve their living conditions. (end) akw.bs
