Kuwaiti charity wraps up aid mission in Kyrgyzstan
KUWAIT, May 22 (KUNA) -- A Kuwaiti charity on Monday provided its final installment of aid for needy families in the impoverished Central Asian nation of Kyrgyzstan.
Speaking to KUNA via telephone, Director General of Kuwait's Peace Society for Humanitarian and Charitable Works Dr. Nabil Al-Oun said that the charity has carried out its agenda in Kyrgyzstan, which included the construction of mosques and Islamic centers in remote villages.
Moreover, he noted that the charity's contingent in Kyrgyzstan visited a garment factory and inspected operations in one of the country's burgeoning sectors.
Al-Oun also pointed out that other philanthropic acts done included handing out food baskets and digging up water wells in areas with a dearth of water.
With a profound penchant for altruism, the Kuwaiti charity has doled out aid to the most cash-strapped of nations all across the globe. (end) akw.nam
