Egypt's court hands death, imprisonment sentences to IS-linked cell

CAIRO, May 21 (KUNA) -- A criminal court in Egypt has delivered a death sentence against leader of militant cell linked to the so-called Islamic State group.
Zagazig Criminal Court also sentenced 19 and 15 other cell members with 15 years and 3 years imprisonment with hard labor respectively for joining the terrorist group.
The convicted are accused of establishing relation and receiving training and weapons from the IS to carry out attacks against military and state facilities. (end) rg.ibi
