Turkish soldier killed in mine blast - sources

ISTANBUL, April 25 (KUNA) -- A Turkish soldier was killed and another was injured Tuesday in an explosion caused by a mine planted by Kurdistan Workers Party's (PKK) elements in southeast Turkey, security sources said.
"A mine planted by terrorists went off while security forces were conducting an operation against PKK ... in the State of Betlis, the sources were quoted by the Anadolu news agency as saying.
The explosion killed one soldier and injured another, they said.
Seven Turkish soldiers were killed in two explosions in southeast Turkey earlier today. (end) ta.bs
