ISTANBUL, July 22 (KUNA) -- Turkish security forces arrested 95 illegal
immigrants who were crossing through Turkish territories to European
countries, the Zaman Turkish newspaper reported on Friday.
The newspaper quoted the sources as saying that the illegal immigrants were
arrested near Edirne province on the Turkish-Bulgarian borders.
The arrested were Somalis, Palestinians, Syrians and Eritreans. They will
be deported back to their countries once the investigation on border violation
is over.
Thousands of illegal immigrants cross the Turkish territories heading
toward Greece and other European countries seeking better living conditions.
