RAMALLAH, July 20 (KUNA) -- Marwan al-Barghouthi, a member of the Central
Committee of the Fatah Movement, has called for a peaceful march inside and
outside the Palestinian territories during the week to vote on the membership
of Palestine at the United Nations in September.
Al-Barghouti said in a letter from his (Hadarim) prison that winning the
battle of next September as an important milestone in the march of the
struggle of the Palestinian people requires launching the largest popular
peace marches inside and outside the country and in the Arab countries as well
as Islamic and international capitals.
He added that such matter requires the mobilization of all energies of the
Palestinian people and the involvement of everyone in this battle because it
is not a battle of President Mahmoud Abbas and the PLO or ambassadors, but is
a battle of all Palestinians, Arabs and the free people in the world. (end)
