BRUSSELS, June 29 (KUNA) -- The European Commission Wednesday granted
clearance to the acquisition by Total SA of France of SunPower Corporation of
USA.
The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure,
said the EU's executive body in a short statement.
Total is mainly active in the fields of natural gas and oil production,
refining and marketing of oil products and petrochemicals.
SunPower is active in the design, manufacturing and supply of solar cells,
modules and systems, on a worldwide basis. (end)
