TEHRAN, May 30 (KUNA) -- An Iranian helicopter crashed Monday south of
Isfahan in central Iran, killing its two-member crew, senior military official
announced.
"The Cobra 209 helicopter belonged to the Shahid Vatanpour training base,"
an air force commander said on Monday.
He added the crash was caused by technical problems in the helicopter and
an investigation team has been sent to the scene.
Iran has suffered several aviation disasters over the past decade because
of its aging fleet and lack of maintenance. (end)
