ISLAMABAD, Dec 9 (KUNA) -- At least four security personnel were wounded on
Thursday in a bomb explosion in a Northern Pakistani town, said officials.
A remote control bomb explosion hit security personnels vehicle while they
were on routine patrol in Saro Khel area of Hangu district, more than 150
kilometers from Islamabad, security officials told KUNA.
They said the explosion badly damaged the vehicle and wounded four security
personnel. They added that at least one of the wounded was in critical
condition.
The explosion occurred as security is on red alert in Hangu and adjoining
areas, known as hotbed of sectarian violence, during the Muharram month.
Also, the District Coordinating Officer (DCO) Hangu has put complete ban on
the entrance of Afghan refugees in the territorial limits of the district.
