BRUSSELS, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- Three men from the Dutch city of Amsterdam
arrested yesterday on suspicion of planning terrorist attacks in Belgium are
fighting their extradition to Belgium, the Dutch public prosecution department
said Wednesday afternoon.
Dutch media reports said the three have been remanded in custody and their
case will now be heard by a special court which deals with extradition
proceedings.
Ugur Sarikaya, lawyer for one of the suspected men, told the Dutch paper
Telegraaf that his client denied any involvement in terrorism.
The three men, aged 25, 26 and 28 are among 11 people arrested on Tuesday.
They are accused of preparing a terrorist attack on an unknown target,
recruiting fighters and funding of a Chechen group called the Caucasian
Emirate. (end)
