Pakistani Minister holds L J responsible for Karachi blast

ISLAMABAD, Nov 12 (KUNA) -- Pakistani Federal Interior Minister Friday held outlawed militant group, Lashkar-i-Jhangiv (LJ), responsible for Thursday nights suicide blast in the city of Karachi that left 20 dead and over 140 wounded. In statements to the press in Karachi, Minister Rehman Malik said that LJ was behind the Karachi suicide blast. However, on Thursday some segments of local and foreign media reported that Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was behind the explosion.
The Minister reiterated the governments resolve to fight terrorism and said that terrorists wanted to spread waves of fear among the people through acts of terrorism. He vowed to root out terrorism from the country by taking strict action against the militants. (end) amn.ajs KUNA 121507 Nov 10NNNN
