Landmine blast injures Syrian shepherd

DAMASCUS, Nov 6 (KUNA) -- A Syrian woman living in the Golan provincial capital Al-Qunaitra suffered serious injuries in a blast of a landmine left behind by the Israelis forces, the Syrian Television said on Saturday.
The blast occurred while she was returning home, along with her mother, after herding the family cows at a spot north of the town.
Only a small number of Syrian citizens has remained in the town, extensively damaged before Israel pulled out of it in 1974.
Up to 607 Syrians have been killed, injured or maimed in such incidents in the region. (end) tk.rk KUNA 061201 Nov 10NNNN
