Suicide attack on police station in Pakistan kills 1, wounds 6

ISLAMABAD, Nov 1 (KUNA) -- A suicide attack on a police station Monday morning killed a policeman and wounded six others in a northern Pakistani district of Sawabi, said police. A suicide bomber along with a group of armed militants attacked Police Lines in Sawabi, said Aijaz Khan, District Police Officer (DPO), while talking to newsmen. He said at the time of attack, about 20-25 policemen were on duty.
The DPO said that the suicide bomber exploded himself up at the entrance of the station that killed one policeman and wounded about six others. After the blast, he said further, armed militants exchanged fire with policemen. The DPO said that the militants managed to escape, adding, the police has recovered the head and other body-parts of the bomber. At least two of the wounded were in critical condition.
