WASHINGTON, Oct. 20 (KUNA) -- The Boeing Co. on Wednesday announced a
third-quarter profit of 837 million dollars, based on sales of commercial
planes.
Company officials said they plan to increase production rates of the 737,
the top-selling Boeing aircraft, as orders and deliveries have begun growing
amid recovery from the 2007-09 recession.
Boeing expects to deliver 460 commercial planes this year, and is aiming
to deliver the new 787 in the middle of the first quarter of 2011, and the
latest version of the 747 in the middle of next year, officials said.
Boeing obtains about half its revenue from commercial planes and half from
defense, space and security. (end)
