Second consignment of Kuwaiti fuel donation arrives in Benghazi

(With photos) BENGHAZI-Libya, Dec 27 (KUNA) -- The second Kuwaiti oil tanker arrived here Tuesday carrying more than 20,000 tons of fuel in aid to Libyan people under the instructions of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The tanker was received by members of Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC) and Kuwaiti Ambassador to Libya Mubarak Al-Adwani, Consul Hadi Al-Mteiri.
"Kuwait's fuel aid is a sign of solidarity with the brotherly people of Libya who suffer from fuel shortage," Al-Adwani told reporters on the delivery ceremony of the consignment.
The NTC members expressed gratitude for HH the Amir, government and people of Kuwait for their relief efforts and the historic stances at international forums in support of Libya.
At the end of the ceremony the NTC held a luncheon party in honor of Ambassador Al-Adwani and Consul Al-Mteiri. The first consignment was delivered to Misrata, north Libya, in the last few days. (end) ams.gb KUNA 272121 Dec 11NNNN
