KUWAIT, Nov 13 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's sponsorship of the upcoming Fourth International Exhibition of Inventions in the Middle East signaled HH's personal care for inventors and inventions in the country, Arab and foreign nations, said a ranking figure on Sunday.
HH's patronage of this exhibition explicitly signaled his concern and care for sciences, scientists and innovators of Kuwait, Arab nations and the world, said Abdullatif Al-Suraie, Director General of the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT), in a statement.
Affirming HH the Amir's support for applying for internationally-accredited patents, Al-Suraei noted establishment of Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity, which has helped Kuwaiti innovators register their inventions and participate in international scientific activities and quarters, thus lifting aloft the name of Kuwait on the international arena.
Due to such support and care by HH, the national inventors have won many medals and awards from international organizations, namely the Oscar that was granted to engineer Ahmad Al-Hashash, by the Geneva Exhibition for Inventions.
Al-Suraei praised staff of the Kuwait Science Club for organizing the exhibition, due on November 21-24, asserting its significance, for it would be the first of this kind to be held in the region. (end) nnd.rda.rk KUNA 131748 Nov 11NNNN
