Minister of Public Works and Transport Ghazi al-Aridi praised here on Thursday the role of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in support of Lebanon in various areas
TRIPOLI, Lebanon, Oct 20 (KUNA) -- Minister of Public Works and Transport Ghazi al-Aridi praised here on Thursday the role of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in support of Lebanon in various areas.
This came in a statement made by al-Aridi to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) during a ceremony on the occasion of choosing the city of Tripoli as center for Maritime Studies and Research.
Al-Aridi said that "Kuwait is always supportive of Lebanon and its people and has a unique position in the hearts of the Lebanese people of different affiliations".
He praised the support of the State of Kuwait and the Arab Sea Ports Federation as well as the large role of its President Sheikh Sabah Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah in the selection of the city of Tripoli as a headquarters of the Center for Studies and Research of the Arab Sea Ports Federation. (end).
