KUWAIT, Oct 19 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser
Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah sponsored and attended the inauguration ceremony
of 'the hope trip' at the Regency Hotel here on Wednesday.
Addressing the ceremony, HH the Prime Minister hailed the humanitarian role
of the Journey as "indicative of the civilized image of Kuwait."
"The Journey lobbies support for people with special needs in Kuwait," he
said, noting that the government is keen on backing up the efforts of the
civil society organizations which are active in this domain.
HH Sheikh Nasser promised to offer all possible help for the Journey to
ensure the success of its mission.
The ceremony was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of
Defense Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and a number of sheikhs,
cabinet members and senior state officials as well chairman of the journey's
board of trustees Barjas Al-Barjas. (end)
