KUWAIT, Oct 11 (KUNA) -- Tajikistan expressed keenness on welcoming Kuwaiti
tourists to travel to the Central Asian country without the need for travel
permits, despite the absence of diplomatic representation in Kuwait.
"We welcome the creation of a direct air-route and for the development of
trade relations with Kuwait" Tajikistan's Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi
added in an interview with Kuwait TV.
The foreign minister was visiting Kuwait to represent his nation at the
Tenth Asian Cooperation Dialogue.
Tajikistan is set to host the forum's next summit some time next autumn at
its capital, Dushanbe.
Zarifi also confirmed that his country's president welcomes Kuwait's
initiative to host a summit of Asian leaders next year. (end)
