KUWAIT, Oct 4 (KUNA) -- The National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters
(NCCAL) is preparing for inauguration of the fair book, its 36th chapter, due
under sponsorship of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad
Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on October 19-29.
The NCCAL said in a statement on Tuesday that publishing houses in Egypt,
Syria, Lebanon and Jordan sent in books by land, to be put on display at the
various pavilions of the exhibition, scheduled to be held at the International
Fairground in Mishref.
Steering committee of the event has been working for months, examining
samples of the books, planned to be displayed at the fair, and storing summary
information about these books in special computers.
The committee has indexed these books and prepared brochures about them.
Publishers coming to Kuwait for the event will find their books placed at the
right places at the pavilions, thanks to the organizing teams. (end)
