KUWAIT, Sept 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwait is the third biggest Arab country in terms
of spending on advertising following the United Arab Emirates and Saudi
Arabia, a media expert revealed Sunday.
Director of the Pan Arab Research Center (PARC)-Kuwait Office Khaled
Shahori said that Kuwait spent USD 451 million on advertising in the first
half of 2011 vis-@-vis USD 463 million in the same period of 2010.
Shahori noted that newspapers have got the lion's share of expenditure
estimated at 58 percent of the total spending, compared with 54 percent in the
corresponding period last year.
TV came second on the list with 34 percent of the total expenditure, down
four percent compared with its stake a year earlier.
Magazines came in third place with only 5 percent, declining only 1 percent
from last year.

house based in the Arabian Peninsula, with its Regional Center located in
Dubai.
