GAZA, Sept 21 (KUNA) -- Palestinians expressed dismay Wednesday over U.S.
President Barack Obama's speech earlier today at the UN General Assembly
session where he refused to recognize Palestinian statehood and stressed that
the "only path for it would be through negotiations."
"Obama's speech ignores Palestinian rights for freedom and end of
occupation," Palestinian lawmaker and member of the Politburo of the
Democratic Front Palestine Liberation (DFPL) Qais Abdulkarim said.
The Palestinian official, who is in New York along with the Palestinian
delegation, said that the speech will not hinder the Palestinians from seeking
a full membership in the United Nations. (end)
