NATO continues destroying military assets of pro-Gaddafi forces

BRUSSELS, Sept 15 (KUNA) - NATO warplanes in the last 24 hours attacked and destroyed a number of military targets belonging to pro-Gaddafi forces around several Libyan towns.
In the vicinity of Sirte one command and control node, one military vehicle storage facility, four radars systems and two surface to air missile systems were destroyed, according to a NATO statement today.
Moreover, in the vicinity of Waddan two anti aircraft guns, one radar system, two military logistic vehicles, three surface to air missile systems were destroyed.
In the vicinity of Zillah one multiple rocket launcher and two armed vehicles, and in the vicinity of Bani Walid two armed vehicles , and in the vicinity of Sebha one vehicle storage depot and two military staging areas were also destroyed.
Since the beginning of the NATO operation over Libya on 31 March its planes have conducted a total of 22,701 sorties, including 8,520 strike sorties. (end) nk.ajs KUNA 151438 Sep 11NNNN
