BRUSSELS, Sept 12 (KUNA) -- NATO warplanes in the past 24 hours destroyed a
number of military assets near Sirte considered to be a stronghold of Gaddai
loyalists.
A NATO statement Monday said one military logistic structure, one command
and control node, one radar system, three surface to air missile systems and
seven armed vehicles were destroyed near Sirte.
Moreover, In the vicinity of Waddan four anti-aircraft guns, and In the
vicinity of Sebha one command and control node of the pro-Gaddafi forces were
also destroyed.
Since the beginning of the NATO operation over Libya on March 31st, NATO
planes have flown a a total of 22,342 sorties, including 8,390 strike sorties.
