SARAJEVO, Aug 31 (KUNA) -- The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik
on Wednesday hailed the role of Kuwaiti diplomacy in strengthening cooperation
between Bosnia Herzegovina and Kuwait on various fields.
During a meeting with the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bosnia Herzegovina Mohammad
Khalaf in Republika Srpska's capital, Banja Luka, Dodik said that he looked
forward with much anticipation to the role Kuwait could play in achieving
peace and security in Bosnia Herzegovina and in the world.
Republika Srpska offers its capabilities in seeking strong ties between
Bosnia Herzegovina and Kuwait, he said.
Dodik also congratulated the Kuwaiti people on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr,
which marks the end of Ramadan.
For his part, the Kuwaiti ambassador thanked the president on his warm
sentiments, pledging Kuwait's support of the peaceful path Bosnia Herzegovina
has taken, which he said, will achieve harmony between the various ethnic
backgrounds in the republic's society.
During his stay in Banja Luka, Khalaf had visited Farhadija Mosque, also
known as Ferhat Pasha Mosque, which was rebuilt in the early nineties after it
was destroyed in the Bosnian war. (end)
