MUSCAT, Aug 27 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti national football team lost on Saturday to
Omani counterpart 0-1 amid preparation for the Asia qualifiers for the World
Cup 2014.
The Omani team was also preparing for a qualification match against Saudi
Arabi in September 2nd in Muscat, their first match in this round, while the
Kuwaiti team will heads to UAE and meet their team on the same day.
The Kuwaiti team performed well in the first half, lost many chances to
score.
In the second half, the Omani team regrouped and gained much control on the
ground, and in turn scored the lonely goal at the 64 minute thanks to their
player Hussain Al-Hadari.
The two teams allowed many of the young players participate in the match,
in an attempt to evaluate their performance. (end)
