GENEVA, Aug 20 (KUNA) -- Abdul Salam Jalloud, who had long served as the
number-two man in the regime of Col. Moammar Al-Gadhafi, has defected to
Europe, a reliable source said on Saturday.
The "well-informed source" told KUNA that Jalloud fled Libya, along with 13
members of his family, and arrived at a European capital.
He is expected to address the Libyan people soon, the source said.
Jalloud had been in the ruling alongside Gadhafi since the seizure of power
in Libya.
His ties with Col. Gadhafi have recently turned sour, according to media
reports. (end)
