(With photos) TATAOUINE, Tunisia, July 24 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti Joint Relief Committee delegation wrapped up on Sunday its first relief campaign that was allocated to Libyan refugees in Tunisia.
The delegation visited the areas of Ramada and Nakrev adjacent to the southwestern Libyan border.
The delegation, headed by Abdul Rahman Al-Terkait representing the Zakat House and the membership of Ahmed Al-Azmi and diplomat Jarrah Al-Suwayet of the Embassy of Kuwait in Tunisia, distributed massive amounts of food and medical supplies among hundreds of Libyan refugees residing in Ramada camps and with the Tunisian families in these areas.
The Kuwaiti delegation received a warm welcome by the Libyan refugees and relief operations, especially in the remote desert areas near the Libyan-Tunisian borders.
Al-Terkait told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) at the end of this four-day field visit that the Kuwaiti Joint Relief committee has carried out the distribution of all sorts of relief supplies estimated at about USD 250,000 to more than 7, 000 Libyan families and refugees.
He added that the team distributed more than 40 tons of food and about 39, 000 bottles of baby milk, in addition to paying the costs of certain surgical operations conducted for the wounded Libyan refugees in Tunisia from the poor class. (end) nm.tg KUNA 241614 Jul 11NNNN
