ISLAMABAD, July 5 (KUNA) -- About five security personnel were killed and
six others wounded in an ambush on their convoy in Southwestern district of
Pakistan, said police on Tuesday.
Suspected local nationalist militants targeted a security convoy with
remote-controlled bomb device in Turbat district of Baluchistan province,
police sources told KUNA.
They said the explosion killed five paramilitary troopers and wounded at
least six others. Police said that the forces cordoned off the area and
conducted a search operation. They added that three suspects have been
arrested. (end)
