SANAA, June 26 (KUNA) -- A grant by Saudi Arabia of three million barrels
of crude oil will be sent to Yemen over six shipments, Aden oil refineries
company said Sunday.
The first shipment, 650,000 barrels of crude oil, arrived in Yemen in
mid-June and refining began on June 20, the company said in a statement.
The shipments will be arriving in Yemen up until early August, in line with
an agreement between the Aden company and Saudi Arabia's ARAMCO, it added.
The company said refining the Saudi crude would be done quickly in order to
distribute the by products nationwide.
Yemeni is suffering severe shortage of oil products, a matter that revived
the black market in which around 20 liters of petroleum was sold by USD 40.
The official price of the same quantity does not exceed USD seven. (end)
