BRUSSELS, June 24 (KUNA) -- NATO warplanes in the last 24 hours destroyed
one tank, one radar, one military equipment storage site, nine self-propelled
artillery pieces and one anti-aircraft missile transportation loader truck in
and around Tripoli.
Moreover, in the vicinity of Zlitan, one artillery piece and in the
vicinity of Zintan, two rocket launchers, one anti-aircraft missile launcher
and three self propelled artillery pieces were also destroyed, NATO said in a
statement Friday.
Since the beginning of the NATO operation in Libya on March 31, NATO planes
have flown a total of 12,347 sorties, including 4,660 strike sorties. (end)
