BAGHDAD, June 10 (KUNA) - Iyad Allawi, chairman of the Iraqiya List - the
second largest parliamentary bloc, lashed at Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki
accusing him of hypocrisy and fabrication of charges against his (Al-Maliki's
political rivals.
In remarks aired by local TV channels Friday evening, Allawi said:
"Al-Maliki, the chairman of the Islamic Dawa Party (IDP), leads a group of
bloodsuckers, practices lying, hypocrisy and fabrication, and relies on
foreigners to remain in power."
"Al-Maliki uses his stooges in the IDP to orchestrate mischievous acts such
as thuggery and mercenary acts," Allawi, former prime minister, stressed.
He also accused Al-Maliki of, promoting "abominable political sectarianism,
" failure to realize the government targets over the last five years and
having no clear-cut platform for future action. (end)
