ALGIERS, March 8 (KUNA) -- Algerian authorities recorded Tuesday four
people who died as a result of the deadly swine flu virus, aided by chronic
illness.
Head of the prevention unit at the country's Ministry of Health, Ismail
Misbah, said that of 878 cases analysed this year, some 100 have returned
A(H1N1) positive until today.
These cases were all recorded as singular contaminations, apart from a
family of 10 in the northern region of Ain Defla.
The remaining victims are currently receiving treatment at government
hospitals, and are gradually recovering.
For his part, Head of the local Pasteur medical centre, Mohammad Tazir said
that the centre has so far this year obtained 2.2 million anti-flu vaccines to
combat the virus in the country. (end)
