ISLAMABAD, March 5 (KUNA) -- At least three people were killed and more
than two others were wounded in an explosion on Saturday in the southern port
city of Karachi in Pakistan, said police.
An explosion ripped through a house, adjacent to a mosque, in Ibrahemi
Haideri colony of the city, said local senior police officer, Qasim Tanveer,
while talking to news reporters.
He said the nature of the blast was not yet clear. Local news channels
citing eyewitnesses said that a man entered the house and second later a loud
blast took place.
The explosion razed down the house and also caused damage to several nearby
houses. Policeman Tanveer told newsmen that three dead bodies and two wounded
people have been retrieved from the debris. (end)
