Commerce Minister discusses economic ties with French, Algerian Ambassadors

(With photos) KUWAIT, Feb 7 (KUNA) -- Minister of Commerce and Industry Ahmed Al-Haroun discussed separately here on Monday with the ambassadors of France and Algeria means of strengthening economic and trade ties between their countries and the State of Kuwait.
Al-Haroun discussed with the French Ambassador to Kuwait Nada Yafei ways to boost volume of trade exchange between the two countries and strengthening the elements of investment relations and the establishment of economic partnerships with France.
The two sides reviewed the available investment opportunities in Kuwait and France in various economic sectors in order to enhance venture exchange under the encouraging applicable investment laws between the two countries.
The two sides also discussed the most important obstacles facing the strengthening of economic cooperation between the two countries, especially that there is serious interest from both sides to overcome these obstacles to support their economies and enhance bilateral relations between them.
Al-Haroun held another meeting later with the Algerian Ambassador to Kuwait Khamisi Areef where they discussed closer economic and trade relations between the two countries and ways to support the prospects for their cooperation, especially in the next few years.
Both sides discussed in the meeting means to enhance trade cooperation between them in all areas and how to exploit investment opportunities available in both countries, in addition to a number of issues of common concern, particularly in the field of trade investment. (end).
