ISLAMABAD, Jan 27 (KUNA) -- At least six people including women and
children were killed Thursday night in a mortar attack in Pakistani tribal
agency, close to Afghan border.
Two mortar shells, fired from unknown direction, hit a house in Mohmand
tribal agency, security officials told KUNA.
The attack killed six people including two women and two children, they
said.
The incident took place as security forces have been conducting an
operation against suspected militants in various areas of the agency since
last week.
At least 18 militants were killed and 22 others were injured when security
forces shelled their hideouts on Wednesday. (end)
