BRUSSELS, Jan 24 (KUNA) -- Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB) which is
based in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, is to hold its 8th Summit from
10-13 May in Luxembourg.
The Central Bank of Luxembourg is hosting the conference which is themed
"Enhancing Global Financial Stability, Challenges and Opportunities for
Islamic Finance."
According to a statement by the financial agency Luxembourg for Finance',
the conference aims to bring together an experienced international group of
speakers, with a projected audience of over 200 delegates from all sectors of
the financial services industry across the globe.
Meanwhile, the Luxembourg for Finance announced that it is organising a
financial mission to Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Beirut from 7 to 10 February led by
the Grand Duke of Luxembourg.
The Islamic Financial Services Board is an international organisation that
promotes and enhances the soundness and stability of the Islamic financial
services industry by issuing global standards and guiding principles for the
industry, which includes banking, capital markets and insurance sectors. (end)
