BAGHDAD, Jan 17 (KUNA) -- Three Iraqi civilians were killed and five others
were wounded in a suicide explosion in Ramadi, capital of Anbar province,
Iraqi police said on Monday.
A security source told KUNA that the suicide bomber blew his
explosive-laden vehicle in Ramadi city targeting Al-Anbar governor Qassim
Mohammad Abdu.
The governer survived the explosion, however, three civilian were killed
and five others were injured, the source noted.
It added that police and army forces sealed the area fearing the occurrence
of a second attack. (end)
