Algerian health minister visits victims of recent protests

ALGIERS, Jan 8 (KUNA) -- Algerian Minister of Health Population and Hospital Reform Djamel Ould Abbas visited hospitals in the northern cities of Blida and Algiers Saturday to assess the condition of the persons who were wounded in the recent rioting.
The minister instructed offering the best possible medical treatment to the injured persons and other patients to ensure the early recovery, a medical source told KUNA here.
Three people were killed and 320 others, including riot policemen, were injured in the violent protests against staples price rises in cities and towns in M'sila, Tipasa and Boumerdes provinces, Interior Minister Daho Ould Kablia told reporters here this evening. (end) ft.gb KUNA 082325 Jan 11NNNN
