AMMAN, Jan 2 (KUNA) -- The Jordanian Ministry of Health said on Sunday that
H1N1 (swine flu) cases recorded in the Kingdom have risen to 50 since the
disease broke out in the country in early December last year.
The ministry added in a statement that 17 cases had fully recovered, 14
were still receiving in-home treatment and another 14 moderate cases are in
hospitals. Only one case is in critical condition, the statement added.
Health Minister Mahmoud Sheyab urged health officials in the governorates
to launch comprehensive campaigns to raise public awareness on the cause of
the disease, ways of contagion and prevention. (end)
