BAGHDAD, Jan 2 (KUNA) -- Unknown gunmen assailed at dawn the home of a
court's prosecutor in a town north of Baghdad, using bombs and explosive
charges in what badly injured the prosecutor.
The attack also led to the death of the prosecutor's son and wounded eight
family members, a police source said here Sunday.
The source said in a statement to KUNA that, "unknown gunmen planted
Sunday's dawn time bombs and explosive charges around the house of Hardan
Khalaf Jassem, the prosecutor general of district court of Al-Rawashed
village, then detonated them."
The same source made clear that the blow-up of these explosive charges led
to the death of one member of the prosecutor's family, along with injuring
eight others and inflicting heavy material damage on the house. (end)
