GAZA, Dec 26 (KUNA) -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is
expected to discuss developments of the peace process amid Hamas threats
during his upcoming meeting with Egyptian President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak
within 10 days, Radio Israel said Sunday.
The meeting scheduled to take place in Sharm El Sheikh is to tackle
developments of the peace process within threats of military escalation from
Hamas alongside the Iranian nuclear program, the radio said.
It added that the meeting which was scheduled to take place this week was
postponed upon Netanyahu's request due to Knesset's discussions of the
Israel's budget bill.
Israeli National Security Advisor Uzi Arad's upcoming visit to Egypt next
Tuesday will discuss issues in hand with Chief of Egyptian Intelligence
Lieutenant General Omar Suleiman. Netanyahu's visit comes at a time
where negotiations between the Israeli government and the Palestinian
authority has reached a deadlock as the former is refusing to freeze the
establishment of settlements especially in the eastern parts of Jerusalem.
At the meantime, Egypt warned of uncontainable military tension in Gaza
Strip. (end)
