MOSCOW, Nov 13 (KUNA) -- Three militants have been killed during a special
operation in the city of Buynaksk, in the republic of Dagestan, in Russia's
North Caucasus region, Russian news agency (Interfax) said on Saturday.
According to an official of the local law enforcement agency, the militants
were blocked in one of the private houses in Buynaksk.
They were killed after they had refused to surrender and opened fire at the
policemen, Interfax said.
Tension has been escalating recently when armed men through confrontation
try to bring instability in the region. (end)
