Fifteen Taliban fighters were killed in an airstrike by NATO-led forces in Barmal district of the province, late on Sunday, citing provincial police chief, Brigadier General Dawlat Khan Zadran, state-run Pajhwok Afghan News (PAN) reported.
Bodies of the dead militants were still lying on the ground at the site of the attack, he said, adding that the Afghan forces recovered arms from the scene.
In another incident, said PAN further, five Taliban fighters were killed during a joint operation by Afghan and NATO-led troops in the Omna district of the province, on Sunday.
