Two Iraqi civilians killed, 40 others injured after several explosions in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Sept 21 (KUNA) -- Two Iraqi civilians were killed and at least 40 others were injured on Tuesday after intense explosions which resulted in the destruction of three houses in Al-Hamza area south of Al-Hila city, capital of Babel province in southern Baghdad.
There are still conflicting reports about the explosions which caused panic, but investigation is still underway.
An Iraqi police source told KUNA that the explosions occurred after unknown armed men tied improvised bombs together with fuel storages near the three houses, which resulted in the collapse of the houses.
Meanwhile, Iraqi medics said that the explosions happened after a banquet was launched in the area, which resulted in a big fire and then other explosions due to a nearby weapon storage. (end) mhg.mb KUNA 212248 Sep 10NNNN
