KUWAIT, Sept 19 (KUNA) -- National Unity will be protected and preserved
via swiftly implementing the law without discrimination, said Interior
Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Khaled Al-Sabah on Sunday.
Al-Khaled said in a coordinating meeting attended by top ministry officials
that the ministry would put the safety of citizens and expatriates on the top
list of its priorities.
He called on the people of Kuwait to cooperate with the law enforcement
personnel on safekeeping the national unity of the state, preventing
individuals or groups who were eager to unsettle the peace.
Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry called on citizens to abide by the law and
not to organize any unauthorized rallies.
Head of Legal Affairs at the Ministry As'ad Al-Ruwaieh told the press that
a license should be obtained to hold any gathering, adding that an
unauthorized rally or protest would be handled in accordance with the law.
The country is going under turbulence times which requires both people and
