BAGHDAD, Sept 9 (KUNA) -- A vehicle packed with explosives went off in the
northern sector of the Iraqi capital killing and wounding 13 people including
five military soldiers, a security source said on Thursday.
The source told KUNA on Thursday the booby-trapped car blew up ripping
through a patrol of the Iraqi Army in the district of Al-Tarmiah late on
Wednesday.
The blast, which occurred close to a petrol station, killed two civilians
and wounded 10 peopele including four soldiers, the source said. A military
vehicle and two civilian cars were knocked out in the blast.
Six Iraqis including military officers were killed and 18 others were
wounded in several bombing and hit-and-run attacks in the city. (end)
