BAGHDAD, July 29 (KUNA) -- An Iraqi soldier was killed and nine people were
wounded on Thursday in two separate blasts in Anbar province's city of
Fallujah, a police source said.
The source told KUNA that an explosive device was detonated as an army
patrol vehicle was passing by in northern Fallujah, killing a soldier and
wounding three others, as well as two civilians. The vehicle was also damaged
in the attack.
Another blast occurred in eastern Fallujah, wounding four people, including
two policemen.
Meanwhile, the same source said that member of the Fallujah chapter of the
Association of Muslim Clerics, Sheikh Ihsan Abdullatif Al-Rawi, succumbed to
wounds he sustained from a blast that occurred late last night in Andalus
district, central Fallujah. (end)
