RAMALLAH, July 24 (KUNA) -- Extremist Jewish settlers seized a land
belonging to Palestinians coming from Bethlehem and Al-Khalil (Hebron), local
security sources said on Saturday.
Three mobile homes were placed by settlers over a piece of land belonging
to Palestinian citizen Abdulrahaman Sultan, in Bwaida in Al-Khalil.
The settlers did this under the supervision of Israeli soldiers, media and
public relations department in the local police said.
This is part of the Israeli plans to seize the Palestinian land and turn
them to outposts and later into settlements. The building of settlements in
West Bank and Eastern Jerusalem is illegal according to UN resolutions.
The Palestinians insist that Israel should halt such actions in order to
move to the direct negotiations with Tel Aviv. (end)
